Oh brother! It’s been far too many months since I’ve posted. I have a couple lined up that just need some editing, but work and pottery have gotten in the way. 

Katy turns 50 this month.

We decided to have a big family dinner last weekend.

If you recall that was the weekend following the election.

There are several stories that I won’t go into, but I will give you this fabulous in-law cocktail to make your spirits bright this holiday season!


I was able to get all of my dinner prep done early enough to not only take a nap, but also down a couple glasses before everyone arrived. I had a stellar time!

Bourbon Punch

in a large vessel combine:
3 Cups Bourbon – I like Old Grand-Dad – flavorful and affordable

1 quart Fresh Apple Cider

24 oz Ginger Beer – I prefer Fever Tree or Cock & Bull –  both are nice and gingery

 In a separate container combine with an immersion blender:
6 oz Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice

1 tsp Nutmeg
1 tsp Cinamon

Add to main punch, stir well, serve very cold or over ice with
Rosemary Spring
