San Sebastian Sangria
~ Mary ~
It has ‘San Sebastian’ in front of Sangria so none of you fans of Patty’s Sangria have any mis-conceptions. I’ve had this recipe ready to post for two years. I just needed the photo. This photo is not a good one, and I apologize for that. You see, it’s a major pain in the hieney when you have guests coming over, to haul out the photography equipment – lights, camera, camera stand, back drop – and have ample time to craft a decent photo – those suckers take work! I finally decided to take an inadequate photo and just post this recipe, because I keep having to log into my account so I can make this sangria!
San Sebastian is a culinary mecca that we partook in amply! We were able to get a bartender in San Sebastian to give us the ingredients, after the vacation I was able to come up with the right amount of each of them – wasn’t that a fun evening!
Now we just need to figure out how to acquire some Txakoli.
San Sebastian Sangria
1/2 Cup Gin
1/4 Cup Vermouth
1/4 Cup Congnac
1 Bottle Red Wine
1/2 Orange cubed with rind intact
1/2 Orange Juiced
1/2 Lemon cubed with rind intact
1/2 Lemon Juiced
1 Lime Juiced
1/3 Cup Sugar
I never think of sangria in the winter time, but we had some last week when I was in Key West – so refreshing! I think I like your version better with the gin and vermouth, as I could only have one glass because it was almost too sweet.
Hugs!
