Brazilian Burger

This ground pork burger makes a crispy outer crust while grilling – it’s the secret ingredient!  Then, you top it with a delightful black bean tapenad, that could double as a salad at any picnic or get-together..

We’ve been gobbling up this one for going on six years now.
Yes, it is that good!

Brazilian Burger

Tapenade:
1 Cup Canned Black Beans
½ Cup Diced Red Onions
¼ Cup Diced Red Peppers
2 Tbsp Chopped Cilantro
1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
1 tsp Kosher Salt
¼ tsp Red Pepper Flakes
3 Tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
1 tsp Oregano
1 tsp Cumin
¼ tsp Allspice
Mix together and smoosh slightly. Set Aside

Burger
In large mixing bowl combine:
2 Lbs Ground Pork
½ Cup Cornmeal
1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
1 tsp Kosher Salt
¼ tsp Red Pepper Flakes
3 Tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
1 tsp Oregano
1 tsp Cumin
¼ tsp Allspice
Mix well with your hands.
Divide into 6 equal parts and make into patties.
You can cook these several ways: broiler, grill, oven or skillet. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes on each side.
Serve on a bun topped with Tapenade

    Mary,
    Do the burger and the tapenade really have the exact same ingredients after the garlic?
