London Part One – Borough Market

September 13, 2009

~ John ~

The Borough Market was a great big city gathering of food and people.  The market is located near and under  the city’s underground train system.  When we walked in all you could see were people and food booths.   The colors and aroma coming off the various food stalls were amazing.

It was mighty crowded.  Everyone was polite, no pushy pigs.

The bountiful cornucopia of vegetables was impressive.

Vegetarians need not drool!

Good time to start thinking about changing eating habits.

Umm, the bounty…

Not something you see everyday, not even at Wholefoods.

This was a tasty trrreat!

Thai Curry Mussels in broth ToGo.

This is the pub we stopped at to wet our whistle and discuss our hunting and gathering.

Impressive cheese shop.  It had an earthy, dirt smell.

This one is for all of you who are familiar with London’s Tube.

Wonderful post! One of my London friends recently sent me a guest post about the same market:
